The Collision of the Historical and the Hysterical

In the American tradition of the road trip, Culture Clash's productions prove migration and storytelling pre-date Kerouac and Easy Rider.

Culled from 30-plus years of the collected works of Culture Clash's unique style of ethnographic, political, and historical/hysterical theatre, CULTURE CLASH IN AMERICCA is a perpetually fresh examination of cultures in flux. From the impossible landscape of Cuban exiles and Haitian activists in Manhattan, to the community of commies and dot-commers rubbing elbows in San Francisco's Mission District, Culture Clash's riotous brand of comedy and social activism leaves audiences gasping for air. Culture Clash recently interviewed survivors of the Eaton Fire in Los Angeles for a work-in-progress love letter to Altadena as part of a multidisciplinary seminar at UCLA.
