Blade Runner meets
Saturday Night Live

The 18 Mighty Mountain Warriors is a young Pan Asian theater company who stand out from previous Asian American comedy groups with a self-described cynicism, which permeates their humor. Theirs is theater created by a generation immersed in the media chaos of film, TV, Japanese animation, video games, and the electronic aesthetic. It is a cinematic theater - fast-paced, associative and bizarre, smirking in the face of the apocalyptic vision presented on the nightly news.

As a result of this contemporary American sensibility, The 18 Mighty Mountain Warriors have a particular appeal to college and young adult audiences. Their work mixes several different Asian cultural perspectives, wrapping them with a slyly satirical and biting wit.
